Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Notebond or the SendBond Outlook add-on (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

The Service lets you send encrypted messages and manage encryption keys across devices, with a free tier and a paid "Pro" tier.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for activity on your account. You may register up to your tier's device limit (currently 1 device on the free tier, 5 on Pro) — existing devices registered before a limit change are grandfathered and won't be removed.

4. Free tier & referrals

Free accounts get a limited number of sends per calendar month (currently 5, capped at 20 with referral bonuses). Inviting friends who confirm their account earns you a temporary bonus toward that month's limit only — bonuses do not carry over, have no cash value, and are subject to change or discontinuation at any time.

5. Subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are sold and billed through Apple's App Store as auto-renewing subscriptions. Your subscription is billed by Apple, renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and is managed entirely through your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policies — we cannot issue refunds directly. Each active subscription may be associated with one SendBond account at a time.

6. Message retention

Messages are deleted from our servers automatically — 24 hours after you read them, or 60 days after sending if never read — and cannot be recovered afterward. You are responsible for saving anything you want to keep before then.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to send unlawful, abusive, or infringing content, to circumvent quota or device limits, or to interfere with the Service's operation.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
